Habits are just your brains way of putting positive actions on autopilot.
The problem is that what it perceives as good is because of brain chemistry, not whether it is helpful for you long term. (Chocolate sure feels like a great idea, but it’s not helpful for your long term health and weight loss goals.)
It’s important to address cravings at one of these 4 stages of habit formation, willpower and motivation are not effective strategies, if you’re constantly ‘failing’ just by trying harder then welcome to the club, this is not how people change.
